Companies on Peppol
Search every participant in the Peppol Directory by company name, by an identifier such as a VAT or company registration number, or by its Peppol participant ID. Each match shows its country, its identifiers and when it registered.
How the lookup finds a participant
The lookup searches the listings in the Peppol Directory, the public register of organisations that can receive documents over Peppol. It finds matches in the order below, best first, across every country. Choose a country to search only its participants; they are then listed by name.
- An exact participant ID or identifier. A whole participant ID, its scheme and value (such as
0088:5790000000001), or an identifier in the Directory listing, such as a VAT, CVR, SIREN or GLN number. Spaces and case don't matter. - Names that start with the search, in alphabetical order. Accents and case don't matter, so “aero” finds “Ærø”.
- Names that come close, for a search of five letters or more, so a typo still finds the company.
Participant IDs and identifiers
Every organisation on Peppol has a participant ID, which senders use to address documents to it. It is written <scheme-prefix>::<scheme>:<value>, for example iso6523-actorid-upis::0088:5790000000001: the prefix says the ID follows ISO 6523, the scheme 0088 says the value is a GLN, and the value is the number itself. Other schemes are national registers, such as 0184 for Danish CVR numbers or 0009 for French SIRET numbers.
A participant's Directory listing includes its name, its country and often further identifiers, such as a VAT number. A participant listed in several countries appears once in each.
Questions
How do I check whether a company is on Peppol?
Type its name, its VAT or company registration number, or its participant ID in the search box. If it is in the Peppol Directory, it is among the matches, with its participant ID and the country recorded in its listing.
The company isn't found. Does that mean it isn't on Peppol?
Not necessarily. Directory listings are published by participants' service providers, and not every Peppol participant has a listing. A company may also be registered under another name, a parent company, or an identifier you didn't search for. Its service provider can say for certain.
How current is the data?
The lookup uses the latest snapshot of the Peppol Directory loaded by this site; every answer says which date it is from. Registrations and changes since then aren't included.
Does the lookup show contact details?
No. This site never stores or shows contact names, phone numbers or email addresses.
